Business and industry are attracted to areas where there is good access to one or more transportation systems because travel time is often directly related to cost or profit. Of the various modes of transportation, aviation is one of the most important, perhaps because it is one of the quickest. During the past 25 years, state and local governments have become more aware of the value of a local airport in regards to economic growth.
